This policy explains what personal information CodeFounders collects through codefounders.tech, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Our mobile apps (ScanPure, CyclePure and Mutabaa) have their own privacy policies.
1. Who we are
CodeFounders Technologies - F.Z.E (“CodeFounders”, “we”, “us”) is a Free Zone Establishment with limited liability registered in the United Arab Emirates, licence and registration no. 53600, with its registered office at B.C. 1302561, Ajman Free Zone C1 Building, Ajman Free Zone, Ajman, United Arab Emirates. We are a technology partnership studio that designs, builds and runs software for founders and agencies, and we are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Information you give us
- Booking a call or sending a brief: your name and email; if you choose to share them, your WhatsApp number, company and website; what you need, your answers to our short questions, and the time and time zone you pick.
- Downloading a guide: your name and email, so we can send you the download link.
- Subscribing to our newsletter: your email address and language. We only add you after you confirm by email.
- Agency partner portal: if we work with your agency, your name and email for your portal account, and the project updates we share with you there.
Please don’t send sensitive information, such as health details, bank details or identity documents, through the site’s forms.
3. Information collected automatically
When you browse the site, we record on our own servers:
- the pages you view, how long you stay and how far you scroll, and the buttons and links you click;
- the website that sent you and any campaign tags in the link (for example
utm_source); - your device type, browser and operating system, worked out from your browser’s user agent;
- your approximate country, provided by our network provider (Cloudflare), and the site language you use.
To recognise a returning browser, we store a random ID in your browser’s local storage. It contains no personal information and is not linked to your name unless you later book a call, download a guide or subscribe. In that case we connect your earlier visits to your enquiry, so we understand what you read before contacting us.
We do not store your IP address with these analytics records. To prevent spam and abuse, we store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address with bookings, downloads and newsletter sign-ups. Visits from our own signed-in team are not recorded.
4. How we use your information
- to schedule and hold calls, and to send confirmations, calendar invitations, reminders and links to reschedule or cancel;
- to reply to your enquiry, prepare proposals and work with you;
- to send the guide you asked for and, if you subscribed, our newsletter;
- to understand which pages, articles and campaigns are useful, using statistics, so we can improve the site;
- to keep the site secure and prevent spam, fraud and abuse;
- to meet our legal obligations.
We use your answers to prioritise follow-ups internally, for example how soon a project needs to start. This never decides anything for you automatically: a person at CodeFounders reviews every enquiry.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for other companies’ advertising.
5. Legal bases
Where data protection laws such as the UAE Personal Data Protection Law or the EU and UK GDPR apply, we rely on: taking steps at your request before working together (bookings and briefs); your consent (the newsletter, and any optional marketing tags); and our legitimate interests in running, securing and improving the site and replying to enquiries, balanced against your rights.
6. Cookies and browser storage
- Language (
cf_langcookie): remembers whether you chose English or Arabic. - Analytics (
cf_vid,cf_sidandcf_ftin local storage): the random visitor ID described above, the current visit (it ends after 30 minutes without activity), and the campaign link that first brought you, so the right campaign gets the credit. - Theme (
cf-scheme, local storage): remembers light or dark mode if you switch it. - Headline animation (
cf-typed, session storage): avoids replaying it during the same visit. - Sign-in cookies: only for our team and agency partners when they sign in.
Advertising and measurement tags from Google, Meta, LinkedIn and TikTok are currently switched off. If we switch any of them on, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.
7. Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process personal information for us, only on our instructions:
- Cloudflare: network delivery and security for the site;
- Resend: sending our emails (confirmations, reminders, guides and the newsletter);
- Google: if your call is set up through Google Calendar and Google Meet, your name, email and call time are added to the calendar invitation; and Google Fonts, as described above;
- our hosting provider: the servers that run the site and store its database.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. When that happens, we rely on the providers’ contractual and security commitments to protect it.
9. How long we keep it
- Enquiries, bookings and downloads: for as long as we need them to respond, work with you, or meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record that you unsubscribed so we don’t email you again. Sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days.
- Analytics records: deleted automatically after 13 months.
- Backups: nightly backups are kept for 14 days.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, to give you a copy of it, and to withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect what we did before). Every newsletter email has an unsubscribe link.
To make a request, email [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.
You can also block or clear cookies and local storage in your browser. The site keeps working, but it will forget your language and theme choices.
11. Security
The site only works over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to personal information is limited to the people at CodeFounders who need it, and sign-in is protected against repeated password guessing. No online service can be completely secure, but we act quickly on any issue and will notify you where the law requires.
12. Children
The site is for businesses and isn’t directed at children under 18. We don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. We will publish the updated version on this page and, for significant changes, tell newsletter subscribers or show a notice on the site.
